Arrival and Dismissal

Arrival:

We are so pleased to have your child at Grand Saline Elementary School! There are a few things you should know about arrival and dismissal to help make the experience better for you and your child.

Students should arrive early enough each day to take care of necessary business before reporting to class. If they eat breakfast in the cafeteria, it is suggested they arrive by 7:45 so that they will have plenty of time to eat. School begins at 7:50 and breakfast will no longer be served at that time. All students will report to the auditorium for Morning Assembly. Our assembly will begin at 7:50 a.m. and will end at 8:05 a.m. at which time the students will report to class. At 8:10 a.m. the students will be marked tardy.

The Elementary building will be open and under supervision at 7:30 a.m. each school day. Students arriving before 7:30 a.m. will not be supervised and we advise that you do not drop your children off before this time due to safety precautions.
