Mission Statement:
The Grand Saline Elementary Library is a very busy place, serving over 400 students in grades; Head Start through 2nd grade. Our goal is to help all students become lifelong readers and effective users of information. We are open daily for instruction, reading, storybook time, and checking out books.

Borrowing Books:
Every class in the school visits once per week for a 30 minute library session. Our library is automated and we have a significant collection of fiction, non-fiction, and research materials. Books are due back in one week, but students are encouraged to return books at any time to get another book.

Overdue books:
Overdue books notices will be printed out and sent home with students. Patrons are responsible for any items checked out to them. Parents are required to pay for lost or damaged books. Parents will be refunded if the book is returned in good condition.

Accelerated Reading:
Two computers are available in the library to take an Accelerated Reading test and for research use.
